 MRC Dual-mode Sound Decoders
These reasonably-priced sound decoders can be installed in any DCC or DC locomotive, and work with both DCC and conventional DC systems. Used with DCC power, they have the full range of customization and sound choices you find on factory-installed sound systems. In DC mode, sound is automatic, but can be controlled using an MRC "Black Box" controller (sold separately). Steam and diesel versions are sale-priced at $65 ($89.98 retail).

 Climax Log Cars from Keystone Locomotive Works
Climax log cars consist of two sets of trucks with heavy-duty log bunks, connected by a single wooden center beam. This cast-metal and wood kit makes two Climax cars, which can be assembled in lengths from 26 to 42 feet by varying the length of the beam. Climax cars are on sale for $14.95 ($17.95 retail).

Tichy Train Group Freight Car Bulk Packs
Just in! We have top-quality freight car kits from Tichy Train Group in economical bulk packs. Flat cars, gondolas, pulpwood cars, tank cars, and 55-ton hoppers are available in 6-packs; wood-side "Great Lakes" ore cars like the one at left come in 12-packs. Flat car bulk packs are $40, others including the ore car 12-pack are $60.
